Heritage Africa, Inc. is pleased to announce the Africa Development and
Investment Conference (ADIC) scheduled for July 3rd, 2019 at the Sheraton
North Houston at George Bush Intercontinental in Houston, Texas. Heritage
Africa is a 501c3 organization of African Diaspora professionals in the United
States. Its vision is to advance multi-sectoral development across Africa through
partnerships and strategic leveraging of the skills, assets and capital of the
His Excellency, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, current Minister of Industry, Trade
and Investment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will be the Key Note Speaker.
Also presenting will be senior government officials from the United States
Department of State, Nigeria Diaspora Commission, and the Ethiopian Diaspora
Fund, as well as senior officials of the Africa Development Bank. The ADIC will
feature very successful African Diaspora business entrepreneurs with multimillion
USD enterprises in Africa, including Engr. Funke Opeke, CEO of MainOne,
West Africa's first privately owned, open access 7,000-kilometer undersea high
capacity cable submarine stretching from Portugal to South Africa with landings
along the route in Accra, Ghana and Lagos, Nigeria. Additionally, there will be
presenters from major corporations in the Houston area, including
ExxonMobile, Shell and Chevron.
The ADIC will be open to the African Diaspora in the Houston area and across
the US. We anticipate having more than 1,000 attendees. The ADIC will
galvanize deliberate, sustained and strategic actions by the African Diaspora in
the US to create at least 1,000 new Africa facing businesses and entrepreneurial
ventures over the next five years.
The ADIC will provide opportunity for Africa-based companies to interface with
US companies, especially those located in the Houston area, and afford the
African Diaspora in the United States the occasion to network with Houston
businesses and senior government officials from Africa. Accordingly, the ADIC
will include multiple business strategy round-table sessions, a career fair, and
business opportunity expositions.
